According to a study conducted by Hosseinzadeh and Mohammad on the anticonvulsant activity of both the aqueous and ethanolic extract of Coriandrum sativum seeds, coriander seeds extracts prolonged onset of chronic convulsions and anti convulsion activity of high dose (5mg/kg) were similar to that of Phenobarbital at a dose of 20mg/kg in the PTZ test. Both extracts in high doses decreased the duration of tonic seizures and showed a statically significant anticonvulsant activity in the maximal electroshock test.
This showed that coriander seeds may be employed in the management of convulsion, epilepsy and other seizures.
Coriander is used in Diabetes treatment

The essential oil of coriander seeds showed strong growth inhibition against all the microbes tested on. These findings proved that Coriandrum sativum seed oil may be applied in the treatment of urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted diseases, and respiratory tract infections.
